Can Mycroft be used for document dictation/transcription?

What I need is to dictate and transcribe documents. Can Mycroft be used for that or is it mostly focused on voice assistant/control applications?

It’s a voice assistant, you should look to other solutions for transcription purposes (otter.ai has 600 free minutes a month?)

Hypothetically doable, if you hooked it up to a streaming STT system and got rid of the timeout. On the other hand, I don’t know how you’d tell it to stop =P

Either way, probably not OOTB, because Mycroft will only listen for so long before it times out.
