@Eric_Beyer it is an interesting project. Although, unlike Mycroft, they hobbled the functionality it would seem in their software release for the Pi.
I think it’s significant to the extent that it’s a full walkthrough that will get someone with casual interest/skills/knowledge switching on and off lights(via IFTTT) etc. by voice command on a Paspberry Pi.
Now that I’m hooked, I can already see ways in which I want better control, so I went out looking at what else is out there. That’s how I just discovered Mycroft 
My understanding of this is that you still need to push the button. I’m glad that there is so much interest in natural language processing on Linux - Amazon creates amazing tech.
