Mattermost for Chat?

Have any other open source projects moved to Mattermost for chat? The drawback would be that you couldn’t be logged into multiple channels across projects at once. The perks are how feature rich the stack is.

Pretty sure we are going to go with IRC. Just curious to see what the community thinks.

Gitlab have at least. I can tell you that Slack is quite a lot more convenient to use than IRC is, as an anecdote :slight_smile: (edited to say: so I think mattermost will be better than IRC)

Yeah a platform like Slack is a lot more helpful. The free version works fine for me.
