Researchers at the Microsoft Asia research lab this week made the Microsoft Distributed Machine Learning Toolkit openly available to the developer community.

Saw this, the big companies are seeing value in open sourcing their core machine learning tech. Mycroft has its own contributions to make in this space and we are working to find the best way to engage the open source community to move this technology forward. (See http://openstt.org for instance).
