Mycroft vs Snips

Hi

I just discovered Snips. It seems promising and checked few features that I wish my A.I. would have such as…

  1. Work locally. Doesn’t rely on Internet
  2. Uses MQTT which is friendly to my modular smart home system.
  3. The speed seems to be a lot faster than Mycroft in the demo (I haven’t try it myself)

So what do you guys think? Is Snips a real contender for Mycroft or even the big guys from Google, Amazon and Apple?

Looks like it is based on respeaker, or at least using their hardware.
