Picroft image Google Drive Quota exceeded

When I try to open either of the links for the Picroft image I’m getting a “Quota exceeded” error from Google Drive:

Sorry, you can’t view or download this file at this time.

Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently. Please try accessing the file again later. If the file that you are trying to access is particularly large or is shared with many people, it may take up to 24 hours to be able to view or download the file. If you still can’t access a file after 24 hours, contact your domain administrator.

no the answer you are looking for, but i would suggest a fresh git install in an updated base OS

you can also follow the recipe for picroft (and skip the pieces you dislike)

# Recipe for creating the Picroft IMG

These are the steps followed to create the base image for Picroft on Raspbian Buster.  This was performed on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ or Pi 4

NOTE: At startup Picroft will automatically update itself to the latest version of released software, scripts and Skills.


### Start with the official Raspbian Image
* Download and burn [Raspbian Buster Lite](https://downloads.raspberrypi.org/raspbian_lite_latest).
  <br>_Last used 2019-09-26 version_
* Install into Raspberry Pi and boot
  - login: pi
  - password: raspberry

### General configuration
  - ```sudo raspi-config```
  - 1 Change User Password
      - Enter and verify ```mycroft```
  - 2 Network Options
      - N1 Hostname

Thanks for flagging this, and posting the error.

We’ve heard a few reports of it in the past but I’ve never seen the error message itself.

It’s meant to be “unlimited” but looks like we’ll have to go with something else.

I was surprised the download link wasn’t a torrent download. I don’t have the greatest internet speed, but I host several torrents for *nix distros. I’d be happy to host one for Picroft.
