Saving audio output STT Mycroft before it plays it

Hey lovely community :lizard: :slight_smile:

I am wondering how to intercept and save the audio output of the STT Mycroft before it “speaks it out”.
Once this audio file is saved somewhere, my intention is to apply certain sound effects and distortions to it, before playing it loud.

Do you have any suggestions on the easiest way to proceed?

It’s saved in a temp directory by default (/tmp/mycroft/ then sort through there, it’s pretty obvious.)
