At one point in the past I had this working. I went ahead and started with a new image. Oddly, the microphone works but I do not get sound from the external speaker. When I have an HDMI monitor connected it works fine, but I want it to be headless.
I got it to work. I had the speaker plugged into the speaker board but switched it to the pi. Then it worked.
