This probably not too serious for mycroft as it is designed to to run continuously, but have you guys given any thought to the issue that the raspberry pi can corrupt its SD card if it is powered off rather than gracefully shutdown?
If the audience are primarily “hacker/maker” types, one option could be to embrace the fragility and just have an option to backup config changes to a USB stick (“mycroft backup my settings to usb”) with a similar restore command should you need to replace the SD card.
Yep. We are setting it up so you can either tell Mycroft to shut itself off. “Mycroft, power down”, or use the rotory encoder to gracefully shut down the OS.
