We’re pretty big on open source here at Mycroft, and we’re also hosted on Digital Ocean. So it’s no surprise that we’re participating again this year in Hacktoberfest. Hacktoberfest - now into its fifth year - is a month-long coding festival hosted by Digital Ocean, in collaboration with partners GitHub and, this year, Twilio. The festival is aimed at encouraging more people - from all walks of life - to get into coding. Importantly, it also encourages contributing back to the open source software they use and love.

I completed 5 PRs. When will I receive my t-shirt?
We will start sending out emails with more details on redeeming t-shirts throughout the month. Stay tuned!
So, how do I submit PRs to Mycroft repos? To help you get your T-shirt (and stickers!), we've tagged all our pretty-easy-to-get-started-in Issues in GitHub with the Hacktoberfest tag. If there are others that you think should be tagged Hacktoberfest, shout out on GitHub, or contact me @kathy-mycroft at Mycroft Chat. We'll be keeping a close eye on PRs, and will provide feedback and respond quickly. We've also created a Chat channel specifically for Mycroft Hacktoberfest discussions, so if you're not sure where to start, or would like some guidance, please join us.
