For those who don’t know (and in fact, we didn’t until recently) April 16 is World Voice Day! It’s a celebration of “the voice phenomenon … with the main goals of increasing public awareness of the importance of the voice and alertness to voice problems,” including building and using speech synthesis and speech recognition.
